Competition Funded PhD Project (European/UK Students Only)
Innovation and new technologies are creating new industries and transforming the way we live our lives. Entrepreneurship and innovation have traditionally been linked together, but not enough studies have looked at the role of women in this coupling process. The social and network underpinnings in the digital sharing economy context open up new research avenues that might require a reconceptualisation of gender roles with regards to women-led innovation beyond the economic means of entrepreneurial activity. Research proposals with a strong interest on innovation, entrepreneurship, gender roles and digital platforms in the micro context of ventures and the macro context of growth, sustainability and development are welcome.
