Understanding the factors that influence psychosocial functioning in older people with bipolar disorder

Bipolar disorder is classified as a lifelong, recurrent condition, associated with functional decline and a reduction in quality of life (Michalak et al., 2005; Bonnín et al., 2012). Older adults are estimated to represent approximately 25% of people diagnosed with bipolar disorder (Ljubic et al., 2021). Funded PhD - Determining the genetic and circadian basis of bipolar disorder

This project will be part of the University of Bristol - University of Kent Cotutelle Programme. It will be jointly supervised by Prof James Hodge (http://www.bristol.ac.uk/phys-pharm-neuro/people-new/hodge/) and Dr Alice French at the University of Bristol, and by Prof Gurprit Lall at University of Kent.
