With cities getting bigger and climate change threatening to bring more extreme weather, the concept of “sponge cities” has been proposed in China, which is a reimagination of the urban environment where raindrop is captured, controlled and reused.
The objectives of this research are to prepare TiO2 nanotubes by anodization, and tailor their optical properties through doping to prepare a visible light active photocatalyst for water splitting and investigate the photoelectrochemical properties of the composites.
