There is a large literature in Economics on earnings discrimination by gender (e.g. Altonji and Blank 1999) and the importance of controlling for a variety of confounding characteristics in obtaining estimates of earnings differentials between men and women.
This PhD will examine the role of patient experience and feedback data (from Care Opinion) in NHS improvement, with a particular focus on the Scottish context, and explore staff and policy-maker perspectives on how to increase its impact.
This project will involve work on environmental policies and investigation of how anaerobic digestion processes comply with current environmental policies; what changes in policies will be needed to make these processes feasible to fit in with environmental priorities, and the conditions under which the technology can be reconciled with both economic and sustainability objectives.
