Our 4th FindAUniversity Marketing Conference takes place on Tuesday 15th May 2018 at the Havas Building, London. The event showcases the latest insight and examples of postgraduate student recruitment alongside eye opening case studies. The day features a number of sessions from leading professionals in the Higher Education marketing sector, and facilitates opportunities for discussion and networking with colleagues at our drinks reception.

Taking place in the Havas Building in Pancras Square, the venue is easily accessible from London Kings Cross and St Pancras train stations.

Michelangelo Balicco

Head Office International Recruitment at Universita' Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Italy

Michelangelo is an international education specialist with extensive experience in managing international programs and student recruitment at undergraduate, graduate and MBA Level. For over 14 years he has produced consistently high international student intake numbers due to efficient and market-driven recruitment efforts, sound strategic planning, and a focus on customer service.

Jonathan Neves

Associate Head of Insights at Advance HE

Jonathan joined the Higher Education Academy in 2015, bringing with him 16 years’ experience in market research. Heading up the insights and student surveys portfolio at Advance HE, Jonathan leads the reporting and coverage of the high-profile Student Academic Experience Survey, in partnership with the Higher Education Policy Institute, and is responsible for the overall strategy for the UK Engagement Survey (UKES), Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey (PTES) and Postgraduate Research Experience Survey (PRES).

Linda Ginesi

Recruitment Marketing Manager at Sheffield Hallam University

Linda has worked at Sheffield Hallam University since 2009, but before focusing on postgraduate recruitment marketing two years ago, she began her Higher Education career immersed in undergraduate recruitment marketing. Linda is currently focusing on devising and implementing marketing activity to support undergraduate to postgraduate progression.

Linda’s presentation will discuss how Sheffield Hallam University has developed a digital focused approach to their postgraduate open day promotion.

Alex Causton-Ronaldson

Alex Causton-Ronaldson is Account Director at Havas Education, with over 10 years’ experience in higher education.

The world of work and study is changing. No longer can we buy people's loyalty and attention, we need to earn it. We've seen the PG loans bubble start to burst in 2017/18, so how do we ensure the survival of your PGT provision in this competitive HE environment?

In the world of the influence, Havas Education will discuss how university marketers can put their best consumer marketing hat on to use their UG students to boost their PG provision.

Phil Etherington

Student Recruitment Officer at University of Reading

Phil has been a postgraduate Student Recruitment Officer at the University of Reading for the last three years. Working primarily on UK PGT recruitment, his focus has been on setting up a series of master’s open days and recruiting PGT student ambassadors for these events and other recruitment activities.

Hearing from current Masters students is vital for prospective PGT students, but when they are only with you for one work-intense year, how do you recruit them as ambassadors? And, once you’ve got them, how do you use them effectively? Phil’s talk will cover all this and more!

Robert Perry

Head of Research at Pickle Jar Communications

Robert is Head of Research at UK-based content strategy consultancy Pickle Jar Communications. He primarily works on behalf of clients in the education and charity sectors, where he is responsible for all aspects of information-gathering, audience research, user testing, and general data geekery.

According to the Edelman Trust Barometer, public confidence in academic experts has risen. Robert’s talk will reflect on how universities can build trust by getting academics involved with external communications.

Penny Eccles

Director of Marketing & Communications at Nottingham Trent University

Penny is the Director of Marketing and Communications at Nottingham Trent University. Prior to this she directed the team at the University of Gloucestershire to win the THE Leadership & Management Awards for Outstanding Marketing and Communications Team 2017. A chartered marketer and Fellow of the CIM, Penny is a passionate advocate for social mobility.

Penny’s talk will discuss how Nottingham Trent University have developed a strong brand presence, and how this has allowed the university to stand out from their competitors.
