Postgraduate Marketing Conference

Our 10th Postgraduate Marketing Conference took place on Thursday, 14 September 2023 at Havas Village London.

The day brought the latest insights and case-studies from inspirational, sector- leading professionals. It was focused on presentations and interactive breakout sessions from leaders in higher education with a lunch and drinks reception which encouraged networking with colleagues and other professionals.

Back by popular demand our student panel will be here to answer your questions. You can ask current and prospective postgraduate students anything from their preferred communication channels to timings. This will be delivered virtually and you’ll have the opportunity to ask your questions ahead of the session.

Our Pulse surveys have collected almost 200,000 responses over the past few years and our Share of Search metrics allow us to explore the behaviour of millions of prospective postgraduate students. Mark will pick out some of the key things we've learned (including a few surprises) and go through the latest trends and insights for postgraduate marketing and recruitment.

Session B: Widening access to postgraduate study
Kate Davy, Head of Graduate Student Recruitment, University of Oxford
How can we ensure everyone is empowered to unlock the opportunities offered by postgraduate study? This session explores the importance of broadening access to postgraduate courses, and how we can improve engagement of students from underrepresented communities through postgraduate recruitment and marketing. We’ll also share some examples of the work being undertaken at the University of Oxford and our postgraduate access initiatives.

Session D: Updating your PG marketing strategy to address the cost-of-living crisis

In this interactive session, Havas People will be sharing insights gathered from a recent research project focused on the impact of the cost-of-living crisis on prospective and current UG and PG students. We will then work together to understand how we can us this insight to update your university’s PG marketing strategy and associated messaging to overcome this acute set of barriers to engagement, consideration, application and enrolment.
