MRes in Animal and Plant Science and MRes in Geological Sciences

The School of Biological, Earth and Environmental Sciences (BEES), University College Cork is offering new Masters of Research Programmes (MRes) in Animal and Plant Science, and in Geological Sciences.

The MRes is a full-time programme running over 12 months from the date of first registration for the programme. Applications will be accepted for a start date in October 2016 or January 2017. The programme consists of a major research thesis (70 credits) and taught modules (20 credits) on generic and transferable skills, with an emphasis on scientific writing, oral presentations, and general research skills.

Scholarships: The Graduate Studies Committee of the School will consider applications for scholarships from high achieving students with 1st class honours primary degrees towards costs of fees; a limited number of full scholarships and a number of partial scholarships will be awarded towards fees, at the discretion of the School. Applications for consideration of scholarships for an October intake should be submitted by the 31st August, 2016. Information on fees is available at www.ucc.ie/en/financeoffice/fees.
