The PhD in Management program at IESE Business School is a unique opportunity for those students with a passion for research, seeking to cause deep impact in management thinking at world's leading business schools and universities.

Why a PhD in Management?

At IESE, we offer our PhD students the opportunity to research relevant topics with theoretical depth, emphasizing on both a humanistic approach provided by dedicated and deeply involved faculty and staff within a framework of management practice.

We reach out to highly intellectual students who we can train in quantitative and qualitative methods in a stimulating environment of a broad geographical reach and in direct contact to business that guarantees a forum for your research.

The PhD degree is an engaging four to five year program that requires full time commitment. Students start with the Master of Research in Management (MRM), an essential step of two years of course work covering the fundamental disciplines and methodologies in the field of research management. These two years conclude with the final exams of the courses taken and by submitting a final empirical research paper. On completion of the MRM, the students, once admitted to the PhD stage, start to work on their dissertation proposal. There are no possibilities to course the program on line and for now today, only our Barcelona Campus conducts a PhD Program.

What are WE looking for?

We are looking for the brightest students who are passionate about research and who are looking for depth. Who want to gain and produce knowledge and who want to pursue a career in business academia. All requirements needed for admission can be found on our site. The deadline for the next intake of September 2017 will be January 10th 2017.

What about the financial support?

All admitted students get a full financial package during the 5 years of the program, this covers the tuition fees entirely and includes a stipend of approx. 15.900€ net a year. Furthermore, students obtain a private health insurance and are encouraged and financially supported to participate in conferences, seminars and workshops where they present their research papers to professors and peers.
