About Us

The objective of our Doctoral Training Partnership (DTP) is to select the best students and provide them with excellent training, tailored flexibly to their individual needs and interests. We will equip them with the intellectual and technical skills that are needed for excellence in research, and complement this with key transferable skills (including public engagement, business development and entrepreneurship) to ensure that they emerge as well-rounded scientists, prepared for their next career stage.

Funding

Each studentship is funded for 3.5 years, including tuition fees, a tax-free stipend of £16,553 (2017/2018) and a generous allowance for research consumables and conference travel.

Eligibility

The MRC funding available supports Home/EU students with standard research council restrictions. EU students are only eligible for a full studentship if they have lived, worked or studied within the UK for 3 years prior to the funding commencing. More information can be found on the MRC website.

Unfortunately we cannot accept applications from non-EU candidates.
