Research Projects are available in the areas of:
- Atmospheric and Climate Science
- Geography and Environment
- Solid Earth

Applicants will typically hold:
- a bachelor's degree requiring at least four years of full-time study in a relevant field, and which normally includes a research component in the fourth year (thesis), leading to a First-class Honours in a relevant field.
or
- a Master's degree that entails work, normally including a significant research component (thesis), at least equivalent to an honour’s degree in a relevant field.
Monash scholarships are highly competitive and successful applicants generally have relevant additional research experience and/or research publications in international journals.
Applicants assessed to have exceptional qualifications by the School of Earth, Atmosphere and Environment maybe offered immediate scholarships.
Applicants for whom English is not first language, or who have not undertaken their degree studies with English as the language of instruction, must attain a satisfactory English language test score (TOEFL or IELTS).
Initiate the process by contacting a potential supervisor whose area of research is compatible with your own background and research from our research and academic staff.
If your potential supervisor requests that you complete an "Expression of Interest", can you please provide as much information and documentation as you can so we can make an initial assessment of your academic and research background.

- EOI closing date for mid-year scholarship round is the second last Friday in May
