Cambridge-Wellcome Trust PhD Programmes for entry in October 2018

The University of Cambridge is now accepting applications for the five Cambridge-Wellcome Trust PhD Programmes for entry in October 2018:

  • Four year PhD Programme in Developmental Mechanisms
  • Four year PhD Programme in Inflection, Immunity and Inflammation
  • Four year PhD Programme in Mathematical Genomics and Medicine
  • Four year PhD Programme in Metabolic and Cardiovascular Disease
  • Four year PhD Programme in Stem Cell Biology and Medicine
  • Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute 4-year PhD Studentships

What we offer

    A four-year PhD Studentship in Science includes support for:

  • a generous studentship stipend
  • PhD University Composition Fees at the UK/EU student rate*

*We welcome applications from UK/EU and international candidates. The Wellcome Trust provide funding at the UK/EU rate, and the Cambridge Commonwealth, European & International Trust supplement funding for successful international candidates to cover the difference between UK/EU and overseas fees.

We'll also make a contribution towards:

  • laboratory rotation expenses in the first year
  • research expenses for years two to four
  • transferable skills training
  • travel costs

Eligibility

You can apply for a studentship on one our Cambridge-Wellcome four-year programmes if you're a graduate or student who ideally has, or expects to obtain, a first-class degree or 2:1, or the equivalent, in a relevant subject.
