Marie Skłodowska-Curie ITN European Joint Doctorate project PhD4GlycoDrug

The consortium of Marie Skłodowska-Curie ITN European Joint Doctorate project PhD4GlycoDrug (https://www.phd4glycodrug.eu/) is seeking for highly motivated, excellent early-stage researchers (ESRs) with background in medicinal chemistry, carbohydrate chemistry, pharmacy, biochemistry or molecular biology. There are 12 ESR positions available for 3 years at the following participating institutions:

  • Lunds Universitet, The Department of Chemistry, Lund, Sweden
  • Université Grenoble Alpes, CERMAV, Grenoble, France

In addition to the academic institutions, 4 SMEs and a research institute also constitute the consortium which thus offers intersectoral experience. Selected candidate will perform his/her research and training at two participating academic institutions and will receive his/her PhD certificate from two universities.

The main goal of the consortium is to start and pursue innovative research projects in the field of glyco-medicinal chemistry including all steps of early drug discovery such as target identification, drug design, hit discovery and hit-to-lead development. Our aim is to provide the researcher with a specific set of competences and skills that will make them highly employable by the European pharmaceutical industry.
