About the PhD Project Scholarships

A PhD Project Scholarship will allow you to work with leading researchers, learn to conduct research independently, and think critically while contributing to a large project of national or international significance.

These scholarships are linked to more than 120 projects funded by prestigious government grants including the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) and the Australian Research Council (ARC).

These scholarships are funded by the Australian Commonwealth Government to provide financial assistance to students undertaking a PhD.

Inclusions

  • Living stipend of 27,082 AUD per annum (2018 rate, indexed annually), for three years with possible extension to four years (conditions apply)
  • Tuition fees (value 96,000 AUD - 160,000 AUD)
  • Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC)
