Funded PhD Opportunities in the School of Psychology at Queen's University Belfast 2018-19
The School of Psychology at Queen's University Belfast invites applications for the following fully funded PhD opportunities:
• Action Intelligence: A new framework for understanding action based decision-making and designing intelligent mobile systems (in collaboration with School of Mathematics and Physics)
• Auditory stimulation and animal welfare
• Healthy ageing and walking in the real world: Assessing walkability of city streets from a human perspective (in collaboration with School of Natural and Built Environment)
• Understanding and reducing gender inequalities in academic settings
The last of these opportunities is related to the School's prestigious Athena Swan Gold award.
These awards are funded by the Northern Ireland Department for the Economy (DfE), formerly the Department for Employment and Learning (DEL).
The studentship may cover maintenance and fees for a maximum of three years. UK residents: fees plus maintenance. Other EU residents: fees only.

In addition, the School is part of the NINE Doctoral Training Partnership and welcomes expressions of interest from prospective students who wish to apply for PhD funding via this route.
Applicants for any of these opportunities must have at least a 2.1 degree (or equivalent) in Psychology or a related subject.
