About the Project

Applications are invited for a fully funded PhD position in condensed matter theoretical physics at University College Dublin in Ireland. The successful applicant will work in the Theoretical Nanoelectronics Group at UCD on a project involving quantum transport, many-body theory, strong correlations, and computational physics. The project is funded by the Irish Research Council ’Laureate’ award to research the theory of quantum transport in single-molecule nanoelectronics devices.

Start date: 1st January 2019

A good undergraduate degree in physics is required, with preference given to candidates with a Masters degree in theoretical physics. Funding covers student stipend and University fees at the EU-rate. Generous funding also provided for equipment and travel.
