About the Project

Student mental health is a current concern. This project will use quantitative data collected by a student smartphone app which tracks mood, reasons for mood and whether the student has engaged with support services. The data will provide a series of cross sectional snapshots over the period of an academic year and allow for some regression modelling to see what reasons, time of year and student characteristics (e.g. age, gender, school) most predict negative and positive moods. The findings could inform the provision of student support services.

Project Start Date: Oct 2019
Mode of Study: Either full-time or part-time
Acceptable First Degree: Psychology or closely related field
Minimum Entry Requirements: UK 2:1; 60% in Masters in psychological research methods, or equivalent experience, required.
