About the Project

We have recently discovered that neurons in the striatum (a nucleus important for motor control and reward processing) interact not only through conventional synapses but also through modulation of “third party” inputs. This project will explore the functional consequences of these interactions using a combination of electrophysiological, pharmacological and computational techniques.

Overseas students are welcome to apply for funding but must be able to demonstrate that they can fund the difference in the tuition fees.
Requirements: We ask for a minimum of a first class or high upper second-class undergraduate honours degree and a distinction or high merit at Masters level in psychology or a related discipline.
