About the Project

Both the recent European refugee crisis and the North and Latin American patterns of migration have generated high profile political and public debates. This PhD will focus on migration in Europe and the Americas, analysing governance frameworks in one or both cases. It is likely to have a policy-making application by addressing successes and failures of governance and practices in the relative cases. It will focus on one or more of the following areas in relation to governance: (i) North-South relations, (ii) development, (iii) diplomacy, (iv) human rights and (v) gender.
