About the Project

Red Rose Forest is working with Salford City Council and the Environment Agency to create a new wet woodland habitat on the former Cleavleys Tree Nursery. Such a development raises questions and challenges assumptions about the ecological development of such a site, the ecosystem services that flow from such developments and the wider environmental systems (e.g. water quality, hydrology and material flow).

As part of a multi-disciplinary team lead by Professor Philip James, you will develop a greater understanding of this site and its functionality as part of the wider ecosystem context.
