Combustion Chemistry for Sustainable Fuel Utilization

This project involves experimental and chemical kinetic modelling studies of hydrocarbon combustion. Experimental studies will be performed in a rapid compression machine and in a shock tube and the data will be simulated together with other experimental data available using detailed chemical kinetic models.

Successful candidates will be based in Galway but may have the opportunity to travel to other laboratories in Europe and the United States on working visits and to present their work at international conferences.

This position will be funded to €18,000 for four years.
