This project involves a multidisciplinary approach to the uncovering and the functional and structural characterisation of protein-protein interactions of the signalling system that ensures the accurate and timely segregation of the genetic material in higher organisms. The project will foster skills in protein biochemistry, protein biophysics, cell biology and X-ray protein crystallography methods and involves extensive collaboration with research teams at the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge, the Imperial College London and with overseas collaborators in Canada and France.
The appointed individual will have the opportunity to train undergraduate students in state-of-the-art molecular biology, biochemical and biophysical techniques and to regularly disseminate her/his work at national and international meetings.
