About the Project

The student will learn about different methods for discretising partial differential equations and iterative methods for solving the resulting systems of algebraic equations. The student will also develop an understanding about the mathematical modelling of viscoelastic fluids. There will also be an element of scientific computing and the student will develop programming skills using MATLAB, C++ etc.

. This project will develop new numerical discretizations for solving PDEs that can subsequently be applied to problems in fluid mechanics
Mathematics (25)
