About the Project

This position will offer a high quality basic science and translational research experience to a suitably motivated individual who seeks to combine a clinical career in haemato-oncology with scientific research. This research project aims at characterising and understanding the immune microenvironment of human cancers and the means by which immune cells recognise and engage cancerous cells within the tumour microenvironment.

The primary supervisor will be Dr Sergio Quezada, Prof Research Fellow and group leader of the Immune Regulation and Cancer Immunotherapy lab at UCL Cancer Institute.

The successful applicant should hold full GMC registration and possess membership of the Royal College of Physicians or equivalent. The applicant will also have a Medical degree and a completed core medical training or equivalent. Knowledge or experience in the field of immunology and/or cancer immunology is essential and so is, understanding of research methodology.
