About the Project

Recent years have witnessed the growth of ‘new’ types of work and employment. Such developments could include changes to the terms under which workers sell their labour such as the growth of zero-hours contracts, atypical employment and so called bogus self-employment. We are also witnessing the emergence of the gig economy and a further digitialisation of work and employment. Projects with a concern to explore the dynamics of these developments in a variety of sectors are welcome.
