Dr A Katsoulidis  No more applications being accepted  Funded PhD Project (European/UK Students Only)

About the Project

A PhD position (42 months) is available in the synthesis of new nanoporous materials that are designed to display the dynamic functional catalytic and guest uptake behaviour of proteins. The project involves organic and hybrid materials synthesis, diffraction, sorption and catalysis measurements, and is part of the European Research Council funded Dynapore project. This studentship will allow highly motivated candidates to participate in the development of a new class of porous materials.

The studentship will be supervised by Professor Matthew Rosseinsky.

The funding for this position is a University of Liverpool GTA.

GTA eligibility
The award is primarily available to students resident in the UK/EU and will pay full tuition fees and a maintenance grant of £14,296 for 3.5 years. The studentship includes a commitment to work up to 144 hours per academic year to help with teaching-related activities in modules currently taught in the Department of Chemistry, as assigned by the Head of Department or his representative.

Non-EU nationals are not eligible for these positions and applications from non-EU candidates will not be considered.

The successful candidate should have, or expect to have, at least a 2:1 degree or equivalent in Chemistry. Please apply by completing the online postgraduate research application form at http://www.liv.ac.uk/study/postgraduate/applying/online.htm. Applications should be made as soon as possible and no later than 30th June 2017. Informal enquiries should be addressed to Dr Alex Katsoulidis, Research Coordinator in Prof Rosseinsky’s group ([Email Address Removed]).
