About the Project

This PhD project will investigate the roles of pharmacists around key areas of global health challenges. Pharmacists have been at the forefront of services against communicable and non-communicable diseases including their roles at the time of natural disasters and crisis. The prospective student will have a say in choosing the geographical and clinical area of choice for the focus of their research.
The successful candidate will learn and apply advanced research methods in pharmacy practice and health services research. Research methods will include systematic review of literature, expert opinion gathering from key informants and cases studies in select clinical areas. It is expected that the results generated by the PhD candidate will be of high quality to merit peer-reviewed publications in high impact journals. The student will have opportunity to work with a multi-disciplinary team of supervisors and advisors.

Person Specification
Applicants are expected to have a first degree in Pharmacy. A postgraduate MSc degree in pharmacy related disciplines or clinical pharmacy related work experience will be desirable.
