About the Project

This is an industrial collaboration project with iCase to explore transformative digital technologies.

The UK water network has significant engineering challenges due to its age, condition, water scarcity, increasing demand and the need to fit within a regulatory framework. To remain internationally competitive, the UK must drive transformative engineering delivery through the use of new technology that meets economic expectations for investment. This project will work with leading water sector customers Costain, University of Birmingham and business partners to transform water sector asset delivery. Using the latest technology, we will develop a tool to assess/model the network by creating a virtual digital twin to evaluate and understand the sector challenges (e.g., supply integrity, security, criticality of aging infrastructure resilience, etc) and provide recommendations to assist collaboration for adaptive network capacity and drive innovation acceleration to market and economic impact outcomes.

Informal enquires about the project can be directed to Professor Cassidy ([Email Address Removed])
