About the Project

This PhD project, in collaboration with clinicians, is about the development of micro-electro-mechanical system (MEMS) based sensors to be integrated in a microfluidic platform for the early detection of prostate and bladder cancers.

You will join a dynamic team looking to use and develop advanced engineering approaches to solve real-life problems. As member of the Institute of Digital Healthcare, you will become part of a vibrant research community in a leading University.



Funding Notes

Full funding is available for UK/EU students, including cover of tuition fees. A stipend of £14,296 will be paid per annum for 3.5 years.

Overseas students will need to fund the difference between home and overseas fee level.

You should have an upper-second-class Honours degree or higher or international equivalent, in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related subject. If English is not your first language, you should have IELTS 6.5 or equivalent
