Prof C Caldas  No more applications being accepted  Funded PhD Project (Students Worldwide)

About the Project

The Caldas laboratory has developed a large collection of human breast cancer xenotransplants in NSG mice. These mice lack adaptive immunity but have a partially functioning innate immunity system. Recently, the laboratory has found evidence that this innate immune system is somehow responding to the human xenotransplant. The aim of the PhD project is to characterise in detail this innate immune response.

Applicants should have a relevant undergraduate degree and a genuine interest in working on this project. They should be highly motivated to drive their project to a successful conclusion.
