Dr A Horner  No more applications being accepted  Funded PhD Project (European/UK Students Only)

About the Project

Expressions of interest are invited for a competitive three or four year PhD studentship, supervised by Dr Aidan Horner (http://www.aidanhorner.org/) at the Department of Psychology, University of York (http://www.york.ac.uk/psychology/).

The studentship project will examine the relationship between memory, consolidation and decision making. The research will use experimental psychology, fMRI, and computational modelling to understanding when and how memories are consolidated, and how this supports future decisions.

The ideal candidate should have a strong record of achievement (e.g., a high mark for BSc/MSc in experimental psychology and/or cognitive neuroscience) and a desire to conduct cutting-edge research in memory.

The chosen candidate will be required to submit a competitive application to the Department of Psychology to secure one of the available departmental studentships (https://www.findaphd.com/search/ProgrammeDetails.aspx?PGID=562). If a studentship is awarded, the start date would be October 2018.

Please contact Dr Aidan Horner for further details ([Email Address Removed]).
