About the Project

Many of the worlds sports governing bodies are actively pursuing research to better understand and reduce the risk of single or multiple traumatic brain injuries resulting in immediate or future impairment. Loughborough University’s Sports Technology Institute is working with key industry partners to conduct world leading research to improve personal protective equipment, international testing standards and injury event simulation for particular sports and beyond. This PhD offers the opportunity for a motivated individual, perhaps with their own enthusiasm for sport, to make a career launching contribution in this important field.
