About the Project

The research group Experimental Immunology at the Department of Biomedicine of the University Hospital Basel in Switzerland is looking for a PhD student to work on human immunology (starting immediately).

The Experimental Immunology research group is a well-established team with expertise in immunology and a strong collaboration with clinicians at the University Hospital in Basel and with academic partners worldwide.

Your assignment
We are studying the role of innate-like T cells in human diseases and the mechanisms leading to presentation and recognition of non-peptidic antigens. Singlecell-based assays and new microfluidic tools will be used to investigate single T cells from human tissue biopsies.
The research group will provide a dynamic environment, unique tools and modern equipments supporting you in every aspect of your scientific work.

Funding Notes

A Master of Science degree in biology, biochemistry, molecular medicine or biotechnology is required. Background in molecular and cell biology and biochemistry is of advantage. The position requires teamwork ability, high communication skills and enthusiasm.

The salary for this position is according to the Swiss National Science Foundation.
