Prof Lyudmila Mihaylova, Prof F Ciravegna, Prof M Hawley  No more applications being accepted  Competition Funded PhD Project (European/UK Students Only)

About the Project

Future assisted living systems require processing data from various sensors such as wrist bands, EEG, ECG and images. Sensors extract large volumes of data which often are noisy and difficult to understand. This project will develop machine learning methods for decision making in support to clinicians. The project will develop efficient methods for sensor data fusion. The developed methods for knowledge extraction and decision making will open new avenues, especially with the abilities to visualise large volumes of data supplied by different sensors.
Prospective candidates should have an MSc, MMath or MEng in mathematics, statistics, physics, biomedical engineering, signal processing, electrical engineering or a related subject.
