Integration: An Intellectual History

Despite the terms obvious status as a crucial concept in American race relations, integration has received little historical attention. In this project, I aim to offer the first scholarly book on the history of the concept, one that will transform our understandings of the civil rights era. Students will work on a related project in twentieth-century U.S. history and provide a small amount of research assistance to my project.

A book and a PhD thesis on a related topic (relatedness being broadly defined)

Application Requirements
Candidates must have a minimum 2.1 grade in an honours degree (GPA of 3.2/4) to be considered for entry to Trinity College Dublin. Individual PI's may have additional specific entry requirements.
