Dr Adrián Gómez Suárez  No more applications being accepted  Funded PhD Project (Students Worldwide)

About the Project

The aim of the project is the development of novel and efficient methodologies for the synthesis of key organic molecules. Particular focus will be paid to the design of novel catalytic pathways to access fluorinated organic compounds. Photochemistry, in combination with organometallic chemistry, will be main techniques employed to develop these new catalytic protocols. During the course of the PhD programme the candidate will gain knowledge on the synthesis of organic and organometallic based photocatalysts as well as the handling and isolation of sensitive organometallic species.

Candidates with a strong background on either organic, organometallic or radical chemistry are strongly encouraged to apply.

Formal applications, including cover letter, CV and contact details of at least two references should be sent to Dr Adrián Gómez Suárez ([Email Address Removed]).

Further information about the Gómez-Suárez group, BUW and Wuppertal can be found at: https://www.radical.uni-wuppertal.de/en/

Deadline: 5th October 2018. We reserve the right to close applications early should sufficient applications be received.
