Funded PhD Project (European/UK Students Only)
About the Project
Start date: 1 October 2018
The project is a three-year project (October 2018 - October 2021) to investigate bidirectional transfer-of-training effects of processing instruction on the acquisition of English causative and English passive constructions. NNS performance and NS performance will be compared.
Eye tracking will be used to measure online learners’ processing.
Findings from this research project will be disseminated through conference presentations/publications and will have an impact on the way grammar can be presented and taught in the language classroom.
Professor Alessandro Benati will be the first supervisor of this project and the research project will be part of the research activities of the new Psycholinguistic Lab.
