University of Kent - Medway Campus

The University of Kent is the UK’s European university. A top 20 research-intensive institution, we have a dynamic and challenging academic environment underpinned by an international perspective and a global community.

Many of our programmes have a strong international focus and in addition to our main campuses in Canterbury and Medway we have postgraduate centres in Brussels, Paris, Athens and Rome where study and research are informed by the specialist facilities and resources in these chosen locations.

Kent actively coordinates international research collaboration and is the only UK university to lead on two Erasmus Mundus Joint Doctoral Programmes (TEEME: Text and Event in Early Modern Europe and DCGC: Doctorate in Cultural and Global Criminology). In addition we are key partners in the ESRC South East Doctoral Training Centre, for research in the social sciences, the Consortium for Humanities and the Arts in the South East (CHASE), and the NERC EnvEast Doctoral Training Partnership.

The University offers a wide range of taught programmes including double awards and the opportunity for study abroad. Many of our taught degrees are designed to provide skills and knowledge important to future employment and are available on a part-time basis, we are also increasing our range of flexible and distance learning routes.

With programmes of study that are informed by research, our students are able to develop skills and knowledge relevant to contemporary issues. Our research activities and collaborations with outside organisations create knowledge that is highly influential in many areas.
