Our Department is one of the UK’s most highly ranked biological sciences departments for research and teaching. The Research Excellence Framework (REF) 2014 has once again placed us in the top 10 of Biological Sciences departments in the UK. We came 1st for the impact of our research. We cover the spectrum of contemporary biological sciences from molecular aspects of cancer to field ecology. Our research efforts aim to tackle three major global challenges:
