Fully funded studentships available for outstanding research in the social sciences at PhD (+3) and Masters + PhD (1 +3).

The ESRC Doctoral Training Centre at the University of Southampton is one of 21 centres chosen by the ESRC to develop future leaders in research within the social sciences. With a staff of world-leading researchers from a wide range of disciplines working together to provide a vibrant postgraduate community, the Southampton ESRC DTC is an excellent location to obtain high quality research training and supervision.

We are now seeking applications from outstanding graduates to undertake cutting-edge research through routes of either 1+3 or +3 starting in September 2016.

A minimum of 18 studentships are available, offering fees and maintenance, with an additional stipend for those using advanced quantitative methods. Further funds exist for research collaboration and impact. Studentships are open to applicants from within the UK/EU and internationally, within the following pathways:
