Now Recruiting International Students for the October 2017 Enrollment

Kyushu University Program for Leading Graduate Schools “Advanced Graduate Program in Global Strategy for Green Asia” (Green Asia Program) aims at developing leadership in science and engineering to realize a balanced greening and economic growth in Asia. The program students have the opportunity to be trained in physical science and engineering subjects with additional lectures on humanities as well as other social sciences such as environmental science, basic sociology and economics. They will also gain valuable work experience in industry and/or research institutes throughout Japan and in key overseas locations (internship programs).

Primary Science and Engineering Research Fields

Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Earth Resources, Electronics, The Environment, Materials Sciences, Physics, Renewable Energy Sources, Thermal Engineering, and Urban Environment System

gain valuable work experience in industry and/or research institutes throughout Japan

Financial Support

  • Green Asia Program students are provided with a financial subsidy of 180,000 JPY per month from government sources for 1.5 years after joining the program from October 2017 (until March 2019).
  • The President of Kyushu University has recently pledged to partially extend the scholarship beyond the guaranteed 1.5 years. However, the details are yet to be confirmed.
  • Students are actively encouraged to seek other means of financial support from their own country or within Japan to cover the remaining 3.5 years.
