Affordable, reliable and sustainable energy

Focus your research on holistic approaches to the energy costs of food distribution, working together with researchers from a range of disciplines, as well as mainstream engineering research.

Clean air, water and sanitation

Benefits from Brunel's advanced knowledge and expertise on the causes and the health and environmental impacts of pollution. Investigate toxic chemicals that disrupt natural resources (e.g. freshwater or nutrients), material or economic cycles (e.g. plastic waste) and learn from extensive experience of translating knowledge into effective policies that protect the planet and humanity. 

Secure and Resilient Food Systems

Take an interdisciplinary approach and conduct applied research directly involving industries, the Government and civil society actors to respond to global pressures on existing food systems.

Develop knowledge and solutions that address diverse challenges to health and wellbeing throughout the human life course, including cultures, societies, social groups and global regions.
