We are pleased to announce we are seeking applicants to apply for two fully funded White Rose ESRC studentships in The York Management School for the academic year 2016-17 (October start). Pathways currently available are Management and Business; Accounting and Finance, and International Business.
Areas of particular interest to the school include: human relations and international employment relations; business and organization history; strategy; international business; global marketing; gender, diversity and identity; corruption; management of technology; supply chains, optimisation and innovation; risk culture; stock markets and trading; and management approaches to investment problems. Our research centres and clusters represent our strong interests in these areas. Studentships may be either of the following:
First year in Masters in Research followed by a 3-year PhD programme.
3-year PhD study: for applicants with advanced research training, usually acquired through a previous Masters qualification.
Current (2015-16) ESRC annual rates are standard maintenance: £14,057; fees: £4,165; and access to a research training support grant. A small amount of support for overseas fieldwork may be available but must be applied for at the grant application stage. These figures are not expected to rise significantly for 2016-17. The deadline for submitting an application is 2 February 2016. Interviews will be held on 16 February 2016, and the results will be communicated early April 2016.
