About the Project

This project can be offered either on a full-time or a part-time basis. Please email the prospective supervisor for more details.

Contemporary research acknowledges the impact of social practice on participant learning in terms of receiving, building and applying professional knowledge. Yet where research has tended to focus on the agency between individual and learning activities, little attention has been given to the impact of institutional culture on professional development activities. This is an important area for further research in the sports field because institutional structures are cultural products that serve as mediators in the construction and delivery of the professional development curriculum for practitioners.
