About the Project

Molecular genetic studies on fungal pathogens of plants and insects: identification of genes involved in disease development and how these events are regulated. Identification and validation of potential fungicide targets and resistance mechanisms to current anti-fungal agents. Biosynthesis of secondary metabolites in fungi, particularly those involving non-ribosomal or polyketide synthases. The genetics and biology of Basidiomycete fungi, particularly processes involved in nutrient supply and fruiting.
