Project Description

The Department of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering at the University of Wyoming has a fully funded PhD position open that is immediately available to highly qualified candidates from the U.S. and worldwide.

Successful applicants will have an opportunity to interact with several industry partners and develop their skills in a multi-disciplinary environment that fosters creativity, depth, and breadth. They will have access to newly established world-class facilities that allow the investigation of multi-scale molecular interactions in petroleum flow lines and porous media with applications to key technologies for energy and the environment. A specific research topic currently available is molecular dynamics simulations of petroleum systems.

Funding Notes

We are looking for students with outstanding academic record in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, and Petroleum Engineering. Previous research experience with molecular dynamics simulations is required.
