Project Description

Clusters are a vital laboratory for investigating the factors influencing how galaxies form and evolve. In this project the student will make a detailed study of the submillimetre galaxy populations in some distant clusters, using data from the James Clerk Maxwell Telescope in Hawaii, the Herschel satellite and other major astronomical facilities. This project is available for an October 2016 start date.

Funding Notes

This project is funded via a Cardiff University studentship which covers tuition fees and a living expenses stipend at the UK/EU rate. Applicants must satisfy EU residency rules.
