About This PhD Project

Project Description

The Large Hadron Collider will be upgraded to deliver up to 10 times more proton-proton collisions than at present. The ATLAS experiment will also be upgraded to follow the technological challenge connected with the high density of final state particles. The student will work on the testing of the modules and sensors that will be developed for the upgraded ATLAS inner detector (ITK). Part of the project will also to study the expected performances of the ITK to predict what the ultimate reach for supersymmetry searches at the LHC is.
