About the Project

Evaluating policy measures for tackling the informal economy. This PhD thesis will evaluate in any country or across countries any policy initiative that has been used to tackle the informal economy. This might include the evaluation of the use of service vouchers, the use of advertising campaigns to inform citizens of the benefits of declared work or costs of undeclared work, or an array of other policy initiatives. A database of different policy measures for tackling undeclared work can be found at http://www.eurofound.europa.eu/observatories/emcc/case-studies/tackling-undeclared-work-in-europe
