About the Project

Locomotion is an essential element of healthy living. However a range of population requires support to maintain their ambulatory abilities. For instance elderly may need walking stick or children with cerebral palsy may need a walker. Although these tools are essential, there is a lack of research on the factors affecting the fitting and usage of these instruments. The objective of this PhD programme is to advance our understanding of assisted walking and improve locomotion in a range of population.
