The position is fully funded (100% employment) according to the MARIE SKŁODOWSKA-CURIE ACTIONS programme, which offers highly competitive and attractive salary and working conditions.
Description
The objective of the work leading to the PhD degree is to integrate and test a bio-robotic endoscopic capsule system with novel in-body communication technologies, thereby directing research towards market and regulatory preconditions. The work will be based on existing basic research results concerning bio-robotic endoscopic capsule technology for colorectal cancer screening, and will focus on integration of novel in-body communication technology, pre-clinical evaluation of system performance and aspects of conformity with the regulatory framework as a medical device.
The ESR will complete three secondments during their time at Ovesco: one at Technische Universität Dresden, Germany; one at Oslo Universitetssykehus HF, Norway; and one at Universitat Politechnica de Valencia, Spain.
